What We Do

We design sustainable sensing materials.
As materials chemists, our work begins in the laboratory, where we design and synthesize low-cost, non-toxic sensing materials derived from dyes similar to those used in everyday textiles.

We use scalable, low-cost manufacturing.
Our proprietary materials are formulated into printable inks and deposited onto large-area, flexible substrates. The film shown here is an ultra-low-cost indicator that changes colour in response to food spoilage gases and can be easily cut and integrated into food packaging.

We enable smarter product monitoring.
In addition to spoilage indicators, we are developing time-temperature indicators that reveal when products have been exposed to temperatures outside safe limits. These technologies are applicable to food, pharmaceuticals, and vaccines.

Future Directions

Looking ahead, we are integrating our sensing materials with wireless electronics to enable real-time, remote monitoring. This platform approach supports the expansion of our technology into a broad range of sensors designed to protect product integrity, improve traceability, and reduce waste.
